Most of our necklaces come in three standard lengths. Where a length sits depends on your height and neck, but this is what to expect.
Standard lengths

| 16 in (40 cm) | Choker | Snug at the base of the neck. Ideal with open necklines and off-the-shoulder tops. |
| 18 in (45 cm) | Princess | At the collarbone: the classic pearl length that suits almost every neckline. |
| 20 in (50 cm) | Matinee | Just below the collarbone. Sits nicely over blouses, knitwear and dresses. |
How to choose
- Not sure? 18 in is the most versatile length.
- Pendant necklaces: choose the length that places the pendant where you want it: 16 in high on the chest, 18 in at the collarbone, 20 in below it.
- Longer chains and ropes (24 in and up) are listed with their own length on the product page.
- Measure a necklace you already love, laid flat from clasp end to clasp end, and match it.
